@thejedireviewer14 In the 2003 movie, Banner's father (who is dead in the comics) gained Absorbing Man-type powers. However, in the comics, Carl "Crusher" Creel (who has no family connection to the Hulk) is the Absorbing Man -- and gained his powers through Asgardian means (Loki tainted his prison food with magic).
