A video of ice melting on the molecular level created by Jindřich Soukup as part of a project at Schola ludus 2010 in Nové Hrady, Czech Republic. Background data was provided by William Pfalzgraff.
Very well done animation. Until now, I didn't consider ice as consisting of parallel sheets of molecules (0:40), with the molecules in each sheet forming hexagonal grids -- somewhat like graphite.
