The Scottish Play

A contemporary envisioning of William Shakesperes's Macbeth, with a suitably gothic and macabre twist...

"The Scottish Play", originally a class assignment, was submitted to the UK CineClub Network in 2009, being screened at the historic Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley. It was later nominated and awarded the title of "Best Film" at the British Film Insititute in Southbank, London during the 2010 summer film festival.

Was 00:23 - 00:55 meant to be shaky? You kind of need a tripod stand there.

I suggest a lot of close-up shots of the Witches' eyes and mouths to magnify the opening.

@goldlion14 it was very much a "gurillia style" project, plus the fact that we were relying on light. the shot that you mention was actually filmed on a small portable mini camera (litreally a phone with a usb) with no output for a tripod or any attatchable device. I do agree though, it would have been aided by a tripod. I'm actually just lying flat on my stomach against the ground with the camera held outward in that shot lol!
