Nicky is a ceremonial yirdaki player, and current member of Yothu Yindi band. This clip was recorded in 2004 at a funeral ceremony for a family member.

  • I can't see the original remark, so I don't know what question he asked. However, if it had anything to do with whether or not the Australian aborigines ate their dead, then perhaps he wasn't being disrespectful. There are numerous tribes (mostly in the African nations or South American countries) who practiced the ritual eating of their dead...this was their way of showing respect, and honor to their loved ones.
