Gary Hogue & Junior Knight - Bud's Bounce (video uploaded by Jim Lindsey)

This was 1986 ... Gary Hogue & Junior Knight ... I recently found out from a friend that while Gary had my original video of this session in his possession, he had combined my video with a tape that was also shot by Jack & Phyllis Perkins, but he accidentally recorded over mine, so my tape ended up becoming a "hybrid" of both videos. I'm not sure which songs on my tape are the ones I shot or the ones that the Perkins shot (we were both video taping from very similar angles). Regardless of which one of us shot this particular song, I hope you enjoy the playing of these two great steel guitarists.

Is old man Norris still alive I lived in mesquite just off Kearney and used to hang out at his shop. man I remember he had these jam sessions and I would sneak in the store and listen, Those old dudes turned me on to Country music. I was probably the only Black kid in Mesquite then!!

Both of these pickers are superb. I met Gary when he was picking with Ray Price one time. A very nice guy and easy down to earth guy. So sad he passed away at a young age...Junior is still picking in TX area I am told....Great video....R.I.P. Gary Hogue
