it's pretty discouraging to read that many feel it's acceptable for the top execs to be compensated while the line employees suffer pay and duty rig cuts. what happened to leading by example?
everyone at AA is an employee, right up to the CEO, who answers to the BOD. why should he be able to negotiate his own contract, without ridicule, while the line employees are chastised for doing the same?
it's this type of mentality that fuels corporate greed. how can anyone support that?

I'm flabbergasted at some of the comments here labeling FA's as selfish for wanting a return on all the sacrifices that were made. Have you all missed the point? It was stated over and over and over again in this and other videos. If the economy and the airline are in too bad a shape to reinstate previous pay and benefits to its line workers, then the same applies to management. It's a double standard and a slap in the face for the top brass to take bonuses yet leave the workers with nothing

Yes, but look at the state of the economy and the state of AMR. AA FAs are competitively paid, and are given one of the most generous benefits packages. Stop attacking the management, they know how to run the airline better than the flight attendants. Bonuses for executives are a reality in corporate America.

What are you talking about....we took over a 30% pay cut, vacation cut, work rules cut,...did you even watch this video?

The highest paid in the industry and they want more. Talk about greed. If they really are members of the "Associations Professional Flight Attendants" they ought to the professional and not wear their Got Union/Got Guts pins

Thank you "The Franglais.....we feel the love.
American Airlines Lied to the Flight Attendants when they said ...(Pull together-Win together)...we thought we were helping them stay out of bankruptcy. We thought they would take care of us once there profits got better...."They Lied"

Whilst it is true that one bad apple spoils the bushel, I don't think AA Flight Attendants are on "ego trips". Due to their current circumstance, morale is, as to be expected, at an all time low. Based on what they've had to endure, who can blame them. Being a flight attendant is a very hard job, both physically and mentally. As professional as you may be, it gets to a point where you just don't care any more... Cut them some slack, they've lost a lot and deal with a lot!

Some American Airlines flight attendants just need to treat passengers with more respect and get off their ego trips. It's the reason I stopped flying American all together. One bad apple DOES spoil the whole bushel.
@737823
Look....when they take OUR money to pay themselves huge bonuses with....and never pay us back in any way ...you know... that is just WRONG. If that is your reality, a big change is needed. We don't want to run the Airline....just get compensated fairly ...In good faith....we gave up allot....and the Company spits in our faces. YES WE WILL FIGHT

I cannot believe how American is treating its front-line staff!! What is more uncomprehensive is how they managed to get it past the unions. This is exploitation! I'm based in Europe, and I know of only one airline who proposed a pay-cut. This was, however, completely voluntary. Some tried to re-structure contracts, but were immediately thrown out by the Unions. How can this be happening in the US???
ALL AMERICAN EMPLOYEES - STAND TOGETHER, BE FIRM AND FIGHT FOR WHATS YOURS!
