The shops sit on what was Market Street Railway owned. It was once known as Elkton Shops named after a southern pacific station nearby

Que trenzinho lindo. Pena que no Brasil não tem isso! Aqui no Brasil os que estão tentando implantar já são uma bosta! O Brasil em si já é uma bosta!

Your description of MUNI as the "train system for the SUBURB of San Francisco" is awkward and/or incorrect.
MUNI is in reality the PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION system THAT HAS a rail system that SERVES THE OUTER RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS for the CITY of San Francisco.

Great video of this rather complex area.
Doesn't appear to have changed too much, except for the vehicles. The layout seems the same, except that in the early 90s, the J Church line was extended to Balboa Park Station. That added another set of tracks that connected to the yard.
However, when I was a small boy the Metro Center wasn't even there. The area by San Jose Ave. was the Ocean Division bus yard and by the freeway was the old Elkton Railway Shop which fixed the PCCs.

Than you for the historical comment. I can imagine the old days with your comment although I didn't see in the '80-'90.

Very good video. It reminds me of the time I spent taking photos of the place when I attended City College back in the 80s.
