In the current political climate, with the war going on in Afghanistan, political instability in the middle East, and multiple insurgencies against occupation and oppression on-going throughout the Muslim world, what is the correct response to this for Muslims who affirm belief in the Quran?

Does Islam command a blindly violent approach, or does it command passivity? Are there only two options? Is the Quranic concept of Jihad the reason for the suffering and predicament of the Muslim world, as some western critics have claimed, or is it Western materialist foreign policy? Is there another explanation altogether?

Way to go Sami! It always amazes me how you can explain things and talk to a person with arguments for 2 hours and at the end he dismisses it all and acts as if he wasnt even there when you explained. Blind in his heart of hearts. Ignorant and arrogant at the same time.

Alan Craig tried his best poor fellow, cant stand truth .

he always tried to make the discussion on emotional level rather than reason logic and evidence it might be effective on ladies as they are more emotional listeners.

Ps: SamiZaatari The Debate should have been "Jihad in the light of Quran & Bible" and a banner in the background will make the debate on Topic.

We could have really open the evilness in bible which says killing infants and women.

@jzxonly god bless u ,i want just to underline something very important ; the objestif of this debate i think is to have more light and truth the truth is someone the one who took the human being and present the father to us he came to save us by grace because of the love of god for us and his name his JESUS one day you will know him and he 'll save u ; he is the way the truh and the life . in quran his name is isaah read quran read bible and pray the lord will show u the truth it'll set u free
