Today the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Enterprises is holding a hearing to fully examine the American International Group (AIG), how it got into its current situation, why it has received so much federal assistance, and how to move forward.

  • The American public is being robbed by Congress and their cohorts. We don't believe in you Nancy.. not anymore. Step aside. Let a real citizen take over. One that cares about the working class people.

  • Some of you are not understanding what's in the video. Mr. Liddy was not the guy responsible for putting this contract together because he wasn't even on board when this contract was written up. Too bad he inherited the AIG problem and had to take heat for it.

  • how about liddy refusing to name the 20 or so people in AIG who bankrupted the firm

  • why I'm voting for Stephen Lynch

  • Lynch is not a Senator; he's a member of the House of Representatives

  • No I'm clearly stating that Lynch was wrong and Liddy needed to help him understand the contract stipulation on bonuses.

The topic is not about the actions taken by AIG that helped produce the economic crises. It is about a self professed contract lawyer not understanding the bonus agreement within the contract that he was debating. The bonus clause that Lynch barked about for 5 minutes were never issued since they were performance based. It was an embarrassing moment for a senator.

  • Nice, stick up for AIG executives

  • What are you talking about?? So Lynch is wrong and AIG is right?

  • If I was from Massachusetts i would be embarrassed of the way Stephan Lynch acted during the testimony. It was like he completely ignored everything that was said or just showed up 30 seconds before his 5 minutes of questioning. The show that he put on is everything that is wrong with American Politics.

Liddy was not responsible for the bonuses and Lynch did not read the contract correctly. Why is that so hard for this idiot Lynch to understand. What a joke. Who votes for these people?
