  • Please note I have simplified this video for the sake of time. You will find in practice that there is a little more detail required on how the multicast address is built in Neighbor Solicitation. For example you will find that the Neighbor Solicitation destination address will include the last 24 bits of the target address. This video should be regarded as a quick intro. I would advise a little additional reading to get a full working knowledge of this protocol.
