@urbanelf It's a social statement which was signed last year by a group of evangelical, Catholic and Orthodox Christians, basically trumpeting the anti-gay, anti-choice, anti-euthanasia party line. Of course, the snootiest of the evangelicals (primarily Calvinists) didn't sign because they didn't want to dilute their precious doctrine by allying with heretics.

It's funny, I've heard atheists say, "I wish God and the afterlife were real, but I can't bring myself to believe he exists." I've never heard a theist say, "wow I wish God wasn't real, but I can't deny his presence."
