Tornado Siren System Ambiance before the test in Livonia, MI 3-1-2008

This is the same day I recorded that 2001 your looking at in the video but before the siren goes off, you can hear Oakland County's 2001s north of this location. Turn your speakers up because it is hard to hear the system recording. Also you can't hear them wind down because emergency vehicles were being heard close to the end of the video.

The older 2001 style used a screen to avoid having birds build a nest in the horn. The newer ones don't have em probably due to the intake cone being bigger. There is a small screen part behind the intake cone that leads to the chopper.

No this siren didn't fail at all. It went off late. The description and annotations at the end of this video should have told you that the video response is when the siren sounds off which is the same day.
