The orchestral playing and the sound are great and Handel is turned into quite a romantic. The result is certainly musically convincing on its own terms but if I'm honest, I prefer Handel to sound like Handel and less like Leopold Stokowski! The Wolf-Ferrari is terrific - the perfect encore!
