"Single Ladies" in a Japanese High School

As a high school English teacher in Japan, I also toss some pop culture in to motivate my students to learn the language. My students know Beyonce... the single and PV came out, so I learned some of the dance...so my students could laugh at their silly sensei.
PS-- This is tricky...I'm on an elevated platform in front of the classroom!

naawww you are so lucky it is my dream to teach english as a foreighn language in japan! i just think the japanese language and culture is so beautiful and dignified!waay better than england it is boring here nothing good happens :(

I noticed the front half of the class lacked the same enthusiasm, you should teach them the difference in humor between japan and America. I heard it was like blasphemy to make a gay joke in Japan, they take you serious!

@Roberttimes100 They really do have a different sense of humor there. Actually, what they find funny, many Westerners find offensive! Like one of my friends also taught high school...and was a heavyset man. The principal went up to him during a party once and jiggled his belly, thinking it was hilarious. My friend was not amused...they have gay jokes...I'd look up IKKO or Hard Gay (a comedian that's gone out of style lately) and you'll see they do make jokes...but not as many, true ;)
