Written and produced by Daniel Ralph. Starring Julie Roberts.
Numerous times throughout the year, almost ritually, we see the streets filled with what some would consider garbage. Hard rubbish collection. Things too large and awkward, even expensive, to dispose of in any other way. Things that are no longer of use to a person and would otherwise just sit around somewhere in their home.
In an equally ritualistic manner, passers-by eye off peoples rubbish. Sometimes they even take it - even going as far as bringing back their car to collect it. And still, some will purposefully wander the street examining every curb for any items of use at all. Some gatherers even live off these items, furnishing their homes with them or repairing items for use or re-sale.
Thrown Out takes a humorous look at this world. It looks at those who might dispose of items. And those who claim them as their own. The electrician who can pick up any electrical items and fix it in ten minutes with just a soldering iron. The out-of-fashion middle-aged man who will wear anyones old retro clothes. The young couple furnishing their home cheaply. The teen who cant afford new things and doesnt mind if something is a little damaged. The young child who can make a game out of any item.
