  • Did anyone notice the bong at 4:32 ?

  • I have one pair of shoes, The ones I am wearing.

  • Actually, I live in the desert. So, unfortunately, I am going to have to take your desert.

In exchange, please accept this nice, flowing river- that at one point in history- humans could actually drink out of.

You can still use it to wash clothes.

    Take care.

  • i wont take your river if you wont take my desert.

  • He does explain how we really are of two minds with regard to our position in history, on one hand we can't stand our consumerism and on the other it defines our moment and life most definitively.

  • Oh good; in an age of epidemic consumerism, it's wonderful to have intellectuals pushing purchasing as well (sarcasm!).

We need the opposite message to get out- consumerism has plenty of marketing already working for it.

People don't need the mall- people need the desert and the woods, the mountains and rivers.

Just not my river- it's really nice and peaceful there :)
