It's sad to say but the R & B vocalists out now are so light weight compared to Chaka, Patti, Natalie, Gladys, Dionne, and younger Whitney. I don't blame them because they're a product of their time. Things change. But imagine if music is so awful now, my God, what will 10,15, and 20yrs sound like?

At the end of the day when listing the all time top female soul singers Chaka has got to be near the top. The sheer power and range in her voice alone brings tears. Imho... Chaka, Patti and Natalie are the top three...not necessarily in that order.
