@TheTriangularSquare Well yes a lot of that is in karate, however it very much depends on the style. Much of it is strong stances, accuracy, and emphasis on power in my style.

1. Bas Rutten uses Tae Kwon Do the art i practice. of course he did, karate is all about counter, finding the right timing, back peddling etc. and thats the style machida uses and he did it sucessfully against his opponents besides shogun who completly exposed him, taking his legs out, pushing the pace and being agressive till machida couldnt handle it anymore. muay thai flaws rarly or never gettin exposed cuz its combineable martial art (anderson silva, bas rutten, shogun)

@PerNyk It is actually very good in MMA. I'm 15 now and I have been doing Shorin-Ryu Karate since I was 7. It can be traditional, but it also at times isn;t. That part is definitely on the teacher.

@TheTriangularSquare "Shogun" didn't expose karate's flaws, Machida could of beat "Shogun" if he had used his karate in a different way. You could say that Muay Thai's flaws were exposed every time a Muay Thai fighter has been beaten.
Plus Machida uses his karate very differently then many other karate practitioners fight.
Fighters such as Bas Rutten, GSP etc. use karate.
