@ruskeerider no, you're shallow enough to believe that fasad. he's a mangina who thinks sexism is anything bad towards women and men are the problems that the planet have.

I think Katz is yet another academic who wants to blame "masculinity" with something evil oin society. I've read quite a bit about Columbine..especailly the writings of the killers. To my knowledge. I do not recall one mention of the plot to be part of "being a man" or connected with klebold or Harris' masculinity in either way. Men are just the more agreesive gender...so of course gender nuetral terms are used...we all know its boys....its not some cover up.

There's one thing which noone seems to consider:
Perhaps there really is no right and wrong. Maybe there's no purpose to existence and no afterlife whatsoever.
Maybe it doesn't matter in the slightest who lives and who dies and therefore who kills who, in which case "murder" is just a natural part of life.
Who can say?

oh fuck this guy. the examples cited as with Littleton, CO are just convenient excuses for him to target and paint all men as violent and abusive. when the topic of women come up we hear on and on and on and on that "not all women are like that" yet when the tables are turned theres no mention-just the opposite! Mr Jackson creates the perception that we have an epidemic on our hands, and that men should feel guilt and shame for what others are doing. How about the guilty feel guilty huh?!

@edwardcookiecutter i know it's two years old but i just had to say that that comment made my day.

thanks for the video. males of any class or racial identity are raised to be other than what they naturally are. i have seen sweet, caring boys turn into heathens. it's sad...

@Frytard You're focusing too much on his stance as a feminist rather than on the arguments he brings up. He is saying that that societal influences are breeding boys to gain respect through violent domination. Actual feminism isn't something addressed.

@peacemanbillbo Your comment made no sense. This man is providing valid observations and sharing his ideas, and you resort to pretty much name-calling. You don't challenge his ideas with any valid counter-argument, you just attack the man himself.

nobody likes a whiner....
I'm proud to have known Jackson since grade school. One of the good ones, as they say.

Jackson Katz does not detest his own sex.
On the contrary, he obviously cares deeply about the unfair social pressures put on many men to be "tough" and not get in touch with their entire humanity.
He is a tremendous advocate of men.
You're obviously not a very bright person, but hopefully you got that.
