I wad raised on this game, and its still my favorite!

idk either, can't think of a way w/o cheat devices. you could use emulators to play Driver and other PS1 games again, there are advantages over playing it on a console 1) it's free 2) graphics are actually boosted (in terms of filter types) 3) able to use any controller you are comfortable with 4) there are cheat device plug-ins that you can tweak while playing the game 5) no more buying memory cards

@cruisingcody: Wow, thanks man. Have to try that when I buy D1 for PS1 again lost my copy like ten years ago lol.
Btw, I know how to get to "blue hell" in SF too. In LA, if you go there, you get to see the sinking animation from the beta Driver, so game over as soon as you get there. Not sure how to go there in New York though.

well in the Miami level, at the start of the game, at the right where the stone wall is, I scrapped along it and hit the cement wall while my car is still steering hard right and somehow go right through it but with a lot of damage

Its ok. Its a piece of hardware that you buy that goes inside your hard drive. I bought a Hauppauge Win TV capture card, thats a good example of one. Also, Im pretty sure you could type 'capture card' into wikipedia and it'll give you a good explanation.

oh yeah and i forgot how did you get the good video looks... when i record stuff you can see lines and funny colors, my tv is a philips flat screen, and i have to hide them in my movies with color effects

I use a capture card to record my videos, rather than a camcorder.
