The Anan Creek bear preserve in southeast Alaska provides an opportunity to see both black and brown bears in their native habitat. From the a blind above the creek where the bears come to fish daily, it's easy to get great photos and video of bears, salmon, and raptors doing their thing. We saw 1 grizzly and on the order of 30 black bears of various ages during the several hours we were there, and witnessed dozens of salmon being caught in the creek and devoured. The bears in the area are accustomed to humans being in the vicinity (absolutely no food is allowed in the preserve), and completely ignored us. It was a marvelous experience that I'd recommend if you get a chance to go there.
