The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's (PRCA) 2004 Steer Busting Circuit Finals in Redmond, Oregon showed yet again that supposed rodeo humane rules are a sham, meant only to cover up animal abuse.

According to PRCA rules, injured animals are supposed to get the attention of an onsite veterinarian. However, when a steer has his neck broken, the injured but still conscious animal is roughly loaded into a trailer, which is subsequently locked up and parked.

The steer is left to die a slow, lingering death.

Coca-Cola is a significant sponsor of rodeo animal abuse.

  • Pretty much the only time the animals are hurt is when the horse is poorly trained.

  • @SmokeyHickChick You think the tripping and flipping of a steer, having its full body weight slam to the ground is acceptable?

  • @SHARKonlineorg I never said that. The steer don't usually get hurt unless it deals with a poorly trained horse is all I said. Steer are tougher than you think though, I will say. I've never found it entertaining and it does seem a bit cruel, but they're honestly alot tougher than people give em credit for.

  • @SmokeyHickChick ""The steer don't usually get hurt unless it deals with a poorly trained horse"" Then just about every horse used in steer busting is poorly trained? Our videos clearly show the yahoos' tripping, flipping and slamming down the steers is what injures the steers, not the horses' training.

  • @SHARKonlineorg They really don't. Usually they get right back up and run off. But when there is a poorly trained horse, when the calf is roped, they'll walk off and whatnot. Steer busting itself doesn't hurt them usually. However, I don't really like that part of rodeo either. I do think it is a bit cruel, but then again, I've been to several rodeos, none of which the calves were hurt.

  • @SmokeyHickChick The NV state vet, a westerner, deems steer busting so cruel and injurious to the animals, it's not allowed during the NFR in Las Vegas. The finals for it happen in other states.

  • @SHARKonlineorg I think it's a very controversial topic. I guess it just depends on who it is. But I can see both sides of the whole arguement.

  • lets do this to people to see how they like it

  • @CashWood97 You're saying all southerners are animal abusers?

  • sounds like something a freaking northerner would post.
