  • No one sings this better than the original of Art Garfunkel.

Best cover by Clay Aiken (American Idol)

2nd best cover by Elvis Presley

3rd best cover by Aretha franklin

4th best cover by Roberta flack

I dont like Annie's cover, although I like her own songs.

  • @sandyzmz Well, we all have our own opinions.I love Simon and Garfunkel. And really,...nothing compares to the original! BUT......some covers are pretty damn awesome and this is one of those!!!! A very heartfelt and emotional performance by Annie, She is singing deep from her heart here. I can feel the pain she is feeling. What an artist, what a singer..songwriter....composer...performer....The one and only Annie Lennox!!

  • love annie lennox , but also love art garfunkel and paul simon who first did it?

  • @Jan9902 This song was written by Paul Simon and first recorded by Simon and Garfunkel.

  • @CARMSFAV sorry of course they did , am ashamed I asked the question

  • @Jan9902 No worries=)

  • I don't even particularly like this song, but Annie's voice- just like Eva Cassidy's- makes this song amazing. And, like Eva Cassidy, Annie could sit their and moo like a cow for 3 minutes and STILL make it sound beautiful.

  • @MrSimonm1976 I don't think Annie meant to be as good as Art or Paul, just uniquely Annie=)

  • [ouch] Annie Lennox you should not drestroy good songs

  • I love the original by Art Gerfunkel but this is really good indeed!

  • @kylegavit I think so too=)

  • @TheSilentCobra Sorry. I love the original version, but this is good too. Again, the more singers DO a song pays tribute to the writer!!!! I'm sure Paul Simon LOVES every version. It assures the song's and his immortality....and helps his bankbook too!
