what do you mean take so long to achieve? 10 years ago, there were no state smoking bans anywhere and now over 30 states ban smoking indoors. Now Smoking is being banned outdoors too.
Yeah, I had a friend fired for one of those violence in the work place clauses. I guess when your son leaves a toy water gun sitting in the back seat of your car and one of the HR people notice it as they're getting out of their car in the morning, that's grounds for termination.
It was so much better back in the 70's, today those employees would run off to the state capital to make a law against their smoking boss. But back then, they just asked politely and he put it out, well she put it out with a water gun. Of course today, she'd be fired for violating some "violence in the work place" clause...

Today, I don't see any more new anti-smoking PSAs on TV.

I think it was Steve Martin who had the comedy routine where some one asks him if he minds if they smoke and he replies, "sure, you mind if I fart."

Sorry smokers, we really did mind.

Veteran character actor Paul Bryar is "Harry", the offensive smoker, so not everyone is referred to by their real names in this PSA.

The boss character calls Judd 'Judd'...I wonder if Carol, Harry and Fred are the other actor's actual names too. :)

As a lawyer, (after 20 years of practice and becoming fed up with the increasingly politically correct system), I absolutely agree with your comment.
