@alzico I think the bloke was an old english character actor called Patrick Allen...In the 1970's .He used to do a lot of voice over work and adverts and a famous adverts for an English construction company called Barratt Homes where he flew around in a helicopter...very glamorous in a typical 70's way!!....If you ever watched the 1980s comedy "The Young Ones" Alexie Sayle takes the piss out of him in one episode.

Total fucking brilliance and insanity....Bob IS Roger Whitaker....or James Galway....or maybe Richard Stillgoe....crossed with Passolini...I am that man from Allied Carpets.

Reeves and Mortimer reduce me to tears of hysterical giggling with their absurd characters and sketches. Thanks for uploading this clip.

The guy who does the introductions at the beginning always cracks me up too, he also introduced guests on shooting starts..some of the stuff he comes out is just legendary. Never seems to get mentioned though.

When me and some friends were in the sixth form we used "The day the donkey derby came to town" as the ending song of a little game we wrote.

When it came up to 1:32 I almost pissed myself when I first watched it
