Embarrassing Bodies - Reason to smile again with new teeth

27 year old Lynne has come to visit Dr James after an addiction to fizzy drinks claimed twelve of her teeth, embarrassed and worried about her remaining teeth, Lynne is desperate for a solution. Dr James performs a CT scan and shows a tearful Lynne what her teeth could look like with with temporary dentures or implants. The first step is to remove her remaining teeth, then Lynne has a hard challenge to undertake, to get the implants she wants she must first quit smoking as this could decrease the success rate of the implants by over 50%. Lynne rises to the challenge and is sent to see implantologist, Dr Kaki Kamaan, who fixes her implants. A year later, Lynne comes to thank Dr James after her new teeth have given her a new lease of life.

This new series explores the conditions and ailments that leave many of us a little red-faced and aims to de-stigmatise common complaints.
