Probably my greatest achievement in life so far - 10/04/2005

Come home from a massive Godskitchen event at the MEN Arena in Manchester after hearing Paul van Dyk, Marco V, Above & Beyond, Eddie Halliwell, Jon O'Bir and Fergie. Remember that Radio 1 have a competition to win a trip to Tiësto's gig at Disneyland Paris. Attempt to listen back to Judge Jules's show from the previous night to hear the qualifying question he posed. Fall asleep in the process. Re-listen to Jules's show and actually hear the question this time. Get a bit more sleep. Tune into Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems in the evening to hear the final qualifying question. Phone in. Find it engaged. Try again. And again. And again. Try quite a few more times and eventually get through. Give right answers to the qualifying questions. Wait to see if they call back. Get call back. Get incredibly nervous. Attempt to sound vaguely confident on air. Fail to answer the first question after being shocked that it is much easier than you were led to believe. Proceed to thrash the competition on the following questions. Fly to Paris the following week. Spend a couple of days repeatedly going on rollercoasters. See Mickey Mouse and his various other animated friends. Make minimal use of GCSE grade A in French. Rave hard at Tiësto gig on the Saturday night.
