I will be teaching a 15 minute course twice a month for a monthly payment. I am leaning toward Vimeo. This is all very confusing. I will have to advertise the course myself and build a client base. The course is a new sport sweeping the country with no teaching access in small communities. Any suggestions? Barbara

Very helpful outlook. I guess the only one I was wondering about is what your thoughts are on Viddler? I'm debating between YouTube, Vimeo and Viddler for the most part.

I kind of wish youtube would allow for a wider selection of categories. Say I upload an animation... I could put it in the animation category and the 2D animation sub category instead of just Film & Animation. I make a short comedy film, I could put it in Film - Short Film - Comedy.
Small little changes like that could just make youtube a little better I think. Or if not, atleast it would make it easier to find new channels you actually like. :(

I love youtube but Vimeo just seems to have more interesting and high quality content. The film & animation category on youtube is the category I would frequent most, but it seems like people put videos there just because they 'FILM'ed it with a camera. BrittaniLiousTaylor gains views by giving away gumball machine toys and asking her viewers to spam the comments, CTFxC vlogs, SXEphil and ctfxc post movie reviews. Not my cup of tea.
Nothing compared to Vimeos Film and Animation categories.
