Well, it might sound kinda stupid, but few years ago I thought, that original version was written by Fear Factory :P

Anyways, this vid ROCKS! I like this verson of Cars!

Wow how old are you, under 20? FF's version was horrible. The original was a classic, funny you never hear it before. Gary Numan pioneered a lot of electronic music before it was even called that. The original came out in 1979. The track was a head of it's time.

Yes, I heard Numan's version about year ago. I mean until then I didn't knew who wrote original. Well, I actualy heard FF version in some old video game (some racing, but I can't remember much more)

Check out his other covered song "Down in The Park" Mason, and Foo Fighters butchered "Down In The Park." He really did some great work. As an electronic musician He and Thomas Dolby are my Gods.
