Infinite Recognition
~ Experience Iamikan's 8-1/2-foot waterfall piece entitled "Infinite Recognition"! The Seeking Indigo piece was commissioned 9 months before its grand opening by the founders of this 5,000 square foot urban oasis/wellness center to compliment their philosophy of offering an experience of artful living and a balanced well-being.
Artist - Iamikan approached this masterpiece -- first architecting a mental design of encasing a 7 ½ foot sheet of ¼ inch glass in a waterfall setting. His vision required the utmost precision and acuity in working on such a large piece of glass, and using mirrors to design back to front. This radiant waterfall embodies a vision of a figure rising out of golden green, blue indigo waves, arms outstretched, harnessing the emerald sun with the "Recognition of Infinite possibility"! Shape shifting throughout the day, with the rotation of the light, the piece appears as the auspicious elephant deity known as Genesha.
The technical level of crafting this piece with two transparent images, while working in reverse on the backside of the glass, leaves ones imagination open for interpretation. Strategic calculations of symmetric and geometric configurations were used in architecting this piece with a detailed design of shadowing and shading. His unique method of moving the paint like liquid lava demonstrates his purposeful applications of color gradients, texture and movements.
