NAME (New Acoustic Metal Experiment) performs a tuba/euphonium quartet version of Thunderhorse by Dethklok from the animated television series Metalocalypse, along with an awesome music video.

If you have a bit of time and a fast internet connection, we recommend you watch the video in high quality (link bottom right of the vid).

  • You must do Crazy Train. Certainly Ozzy can be considered Metal, still.

  • Today before the Steven Mead Masterclass here at UNI we performed our new arrangement of Crazy Train... including vibraslap!

  • I'm actually wondering if it's possible to top this...

  • Well keep your eyes peeled. We have a pretty fantastic video in the works for next semester.

  • Haha, this is fifty eight different kinds of awesome here. Sick nasty Danny!

  • that is extremely amazing/awesome I respect a brass player that can play like that as I am one myself. Great work! 10/10

  • @Casterwaster

black lyrics. as in evil. death has violent lyrics and more aggressive. black metal has more sorrow and darkness to it. musically, darker.

  • melodic death metal i'd say... with a fair dose of heavy....

but i agree, it's a blasphemy to call it black metal

  • nevermind......looked it up......im scarred now

  • oh example?

  • High pitched shreaks, antireligious and nihilistic lyrics, high pitched guitar tones.
