@Owntmeal1313 You are absolutely right. Beauty of this sort of music is for everyone. May God bless you, young people, who will continue the greatest tradition of humanity that has made and estimated true works of arts. "Human nature is creative, because it's the Image and a likeness of God"(Nikolai Berdyaev)

@TerrorizerGrindspeed it sounds like strings, violin cello, stuff like that maybe a flute and some slight percussion of sorts

Anyone know the other instruments besides harpsichord playing this peice? Tones blend beautifully
-
I thought this concert was for oboe?

Greatest. I heard this at the age of 14 when I was still a student in China, after which I have never been able to forget the melody

@codeman2008 Thanks...but strangely, I was unintentionally ambiguous in that I truly and solely meant "you know the score" as in "you know what's important." A gifted listener..with or without the ability to read music much less a score...can feel and appreciate Bach just fine...and all the discussion about Buxtehude and "originality" is intellectual masturbation, pure and simple.

@Scrayfish0 The score is everything - I'm glad you recognize that! I still think history is important - but in the end, the score is everything.
-
@codeman2008 You know the score...forget the rest, and never waste your time debating a music historian.

@Owntmeal1313 You are a smart cookie!

@pinnochio666 Yeah, I'm only 25 years old just for reference, and poor, just for reference. I don't know why everyone thinks classical music is for rich old people. Good music is good music. Nobody's going to be playing Akon and 50 Cent in 500 years, like people do with Bach and the others. And 500 years after that, they're still going to be playing Bach, LoL.
