Single biggest difference between Wladimir in 2003-2005 to the Wladimir now is how he responds to being hit clean. This Wladimir still went backwards and invited on more pressure. Now Wladimir has perfected his jab, reach and meets his aggressive opponents in the middle of the ring to tire them out.

It is really a shame that Brewster was nowhere near his best for the rematch against Wladimir. Lamon got a nice payday for that second fight, but he was not even cleared to fight in the US. Coming off a tough loss in a competitive fight vs Liakhovich, a 17 month layoff from boxing, and nearly career ending eye surgery...the man was not fit to fight.
Wlad has vastly better boxing skills, but Brewster is the much tougher man by nature.
