Wichita Lineman -- COVER

This is just an amazing song. One of my favorites. Surely, Jimmy Webb must be a genius. I hope I did this song justice, I did my best to find some chord shapes that worked. If anyone can explain to me what key this song is in I'd be most grateful...it's a stumper, well at least to me. Maybe F?

dam fine effort. like the guitar work and your voice sounds authentic. nothing has ever beat Glens version but he did have the advantage of working right there with Jimmy Web the auther. Ive got an idea about what the lyrics mean, what do you think they mean? Ide be really interested to know. The James Taylor version is good but yours is better.

@oscamt --Thanks for the compliments, I doubt my version would please Glen, Jimmy, or James but I still enjoy belting it out. As far as the lyrics I'd say they're about a county worker spending lonely days out on the job and thinking of his girl. All he needs and wants he finds in her, but he's got a job to do and the reality of work and life is something he never turns his back on.
