The Male Gaze

This is the 2nd cut of a short film I made for a Super8 filmmaking class at St. Cloud State University.
Shot in both Super 8 film and Hi8 video (gotta love the 8s), "The Male Gaze" deals with the theme of loss and poses the question: How do we let go of the detrimental parts of our personality we've come to accept in favor of a true discovery of identity?

What is true? Who is who? Dance, film-noir, animation and other experimental narrative techniques collide to present the life, death, and new life of an artist.
