this was my first game at old trafford, i was 7 years old i think, i just remember being mesmerised watching the genius of jesper olsen along the touchline, definitely a time when football was more innocent and a generation of real reds were born as we wathcing the filth pick up trophies.

@andrewshard I was at this game, watching from the tunnel in the stretty, and, despite the success of the last two decades, which have been great, those days, in the 80's were when I became diehard united. And, to be fair, despite patchy success, big Ron's teams had some ace players and played good footy.
