How can you determine curing time. How can you tell when it´s done?

im building a setup like you have there and i was wondering if instead of water on a towel, i could use water gel crystals to create the humidity, i was thinking also a humidifier, but im not sure if that would be too much, my plastic bin is just a slight bit larger than yours

the air is pushing IN and the lid has holes .and yes you do need the fan so the mould dont grow.....
