so what's the big deal about never playing an open string anyway?
You can play that F# on the D string and just do pull offs. I think the strain from the F# to D on the A string presents "flow" (insert fancy italian music theory word here) issues
If you work with more strings, it will be alot esier and it will sound better

this kid did a really great job on a very complex tune - no negative criticism intended
I chose that post to ask why guitar players (my guitar teacher too) say not to play open strings ever. It's weird.
yeah this kid is good and when I'm up to speed I'll post my version of this.
