Deputy Attorney General Mike Murphy from San Diego who is prosecuting the Jimmy Hughes homicide case in Indio notified Rachel Begley on June 24th that he planned to drop charges against Hughes on July 1, the 29th anniversary of the triple homicide in which Begley's father, Ralph Boger, was murdered.

Boger, Fred Alvarez and Patty Castro were found dead on July 1, 1981 in Rancho Mirage; each had been shot execution style in the back of the head. Rachel Begley was only 13 at the time. In 1984 James "Jimmy" Hughes claimed to authorities and reporters that he was the bag-man in the murders, that he delivered the money for the hit and the Cabazon Indian tribe's administrator, John Phillip Nichols, had contracted the hit.

Hughes left the United States before he could testify and built a new life in Latin America where he has lived for 28 years. The triple homicide case had never been solved until Detective John Powers of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department took control of the cold case file on November 27, 2007, the result of Rachl Begley's determined efforts to get her father's case reopened.

Today, three years later, that case is being closed again, despite the fact that Jimmy Hughes has been in custody with special circumstances for 9 months and the self-confessed "hit-man" publically admitted he was the perpetrator. See these websites:

  • I could, I logged on that account the other day just don't check those emails. Why is that funny? You really need to move on this is way bigger than you and your attorney, in which neither is well versed.

  • @mafiabones55 ok, so you just lied. nice. typical. So, I'm curious.. if I need to 'move on' so bad, why do you come here to bother me?

  • I thought I told you to leave well enough alone, don't waste anymore time, this is way over your head

  • @mafiabones55 What's the matter, couldn't log into your other account?? lol

  • I told you long ago God does not you to help him do his work. Jimmy might have done bad things in his past but as you know when you turn your heart, soul and life to God and commit to Him that means he covers your past. And thats what Gods Grace is about new life new oportunities, and if God needs to punish Jimmy, He will do it but it his time and with his Grace.... Also not taking things to a spiritual level you should see the lion king.. LEAVE YOUR PAST BEHIND..

  • @sanchez31g That's the thing though Sanchez... Jimmy hasn't repented, just like I said in court. I had hoped that the short time he was in there would give him a wake up call, but unfortunately from what I'm hearing he surely hasn't. Now, what's this about he lion king?

  • I should mention the reason I'm commenting here is due, in part, to my personal interest in the Danny Casolaro murder and in his incredible research into what has become known as The Octopus; a shadowy network of politicians, judges, lawmen, crime bosses, hitmen, drug traffickers, double agents, and the like. Danny was an incredibly brave man to investigate the Inslaw affair and the illegal confiscation of the PROMIS software. The Cabazon Indian murders are connected to this as well. So sad...

  • If Jimmy Hughes truly is guilty of the three murders mentioned then his brand of Christianity is a complete sham. He's basically a hypocrite. He looks like he's using Jesus to hide his guilt and not pay the penalty for the crime he committed. How ironic it is that Jesus, who was guilty of no actual crime, was sentenced to death on a cross while Barabas, a known murderer, was set free. If Mr. Hughes wants to show his conviction in Jesus he should pay for the murders he committed.

  • Rachel, i just have to say that i have a tremendous amount of respect for you for standing tall and trying to achieve justice for your father and the other victims of the Octopus murders. The continual boundaries and high-level corruption and bullying that hinders the investigations must be so frustrating for you. God will ultimately be judging that POS for the lives he took. He can't erase the past. You are only doing what's right - stay strong and I wish you the best of luck in your quest.

  • I am a victim of police brutality cover ups. Please help me and my kids! This is very serious. I also started a petition about falsified use of psych pills on a lot of people. If the author of this site could contact me personally by email that would be most appreciated. Please read my website about all of the crazy stuff the government did to me and I have proof of it. Thanks, Mona Seitzman .wearebeingvictimized.webs.com

  • dont give up, you uncovered many peices of the puzzle, bring yourself into the growing truth movement, you have been an inspiration!

  • Desertfae, they're not dropping the ball. I mentioned to you on your personal wall that God gets to decided Jimmy's fate. Not the government or the court. You've made your point and I would have done the same thing. You can only do so much!
