Just got home from my appointment. They want to do more and more tests. Got my blood drawn for some of the tests but couldn't do my glucose tests because I sipped a little of my Special K shake. So I had to do it at a hospital near me after another few hours has passed. Only thing is, they couldn't because I wasn't in their system and the only way they could, is if I register with them and make an appointment (which can take over a week) and then have that doctor put in an order for my test. Doesn't make sense and waste of time. Just for two simple blood draws.

Long story short: I am at a standstill with my treatment until I can talk to my new doctor again tomorrow (I hope) and figuring out this Tricare thing. I drove 8 hours today with terrible San Diego traffic and $60 in gas to get blood drawn and be told things I already know. LOL, my life!

So sorry if this video is confusing!

  • that is so wierd that they wanted you to register & make appt & what not! :/ im so sorry that you had to go through this,,,will be waiting for your update!

  • @anakalia2004 I'm going to call them Monday, I hope to resolve this, lol!

  • I'm sorry you had a bad day , maybe the doctor just wants to be extra thorough

and maybe sooner rather than later you can really start to move forward.

  • @candycoatedcenter I'm hoping to get a hold of them Monday. I can't wait to get started.

  • yeah your appointments and military crap is why im on Tricare Standard!! there is NO reason to have an appointment! But if you are on Standard then you should find any OB that has Lab Corps and they can take it for you.

  • @Kailinsullivan I know. It's so confusing. I was going to three different places in three different cities, lol

  • @TiffsIVFJourney Aww, thanks Tiff! I appreciate your support. :) I will try to stay calm.

  • @xMrsloydx LOL, the Tricare lady said something like that. I'm going back to the hospital on Monday to fix all of this.

  • @sweetsexygal77 I'm excited!

  • @AjreamcomeTrue I'm going to look into that. Everything is confusing right now. I was at my hospital, referred to the infertility clinic, then went to another hospital to do the remaining tests. So we're dealing with three places, lol. I'm going to read up on Tricare Standard :)

  • i have tricare and it has been a life saver. my baby is 2 months old. i tried to concieve 3 yrs and was about to di ivf when i concieved on my own.my problem was insulin resistance and i went on metformin 3 weeks before i got pregnant. if you have tricare standard you should not have all the red tape.

  • woo hoo joining the metformin club lol.... Yea I think she will have you on that for at least 6 weeks after you get ur glucose test done...well thats what they did with me...Im so sorry your having so much trouble as far as the driving and getting the hospitals take ur blood test. Just remember deep breaths and its all gunna be worth it! Lots of baby dust sweetie!

  • TriCare sucks. You should put in a form to get your money back ..the 80 you spent to get there!
