  • @troysvisualarts not even the bugatti veyron super sport is as fast or as powerfull as this.

thanks for uploading, im researching Sir Malcolm Campbell's cars and this really good to see.

  • hi great great grampa!

  • This car looks decades ahead of time!!! :D

  • Three speed gearbox...fast ...bloody fast...oh my God!!

  • @McLarenMercedes the actual tires (or tyres for you ;) ) are at the Daytona 500 experience where i work, and they are ripped to sheds!! it is pretty unbelievable

  • What amazes me the most is how the rubber of the tyres could take that abuse in the 1930's. I think they were the ones that mostly suffered the harsh conditions of Bonneville.

300mph on land back in 1935 when very few sportscars could do 100mph at the time.

  • The car was ultimately run at Bonneville rather than Daytona where it achieved 300 mph.

The panel that closed to deflect the slipstream over the car rather than through the radiator could only be operated at the last possible moments otherwise the engine would "cook".

Still a stylish looking racing car, even today!

  • @spitfireJEJ Yes it really should.

  • Brave patriotic man and a fantastic car which should now be back in England where it belongs.
