There, I made a Lulu/Shirley video, so hopefully folks will stop asking now. Turned out much better than I expected, and actually made me quite sad too. RIP Shirley, you were sometimes annoying and your life kind of sucked but at least you got a heck of a lot closer to getting your man than could be said for some of the other girls.

It is nice and pretty AMV, but I hate Shirley. I think, she is very stupid, and Lelouch never loves her, only like. Lelouch vi Britannia loves C.C. ! Lulu&C.C. 4ever :)

@DarknessTheKid Basically, I hate all arguments that go along the lines of "Lelouch couldn't possibly have loved X, he only loved Y!!!" Take a look at my other videos (Kallen, CC, Suzaku, etc.), someone *always* has to pull this crap. Lelouch is a complex characters but no one seems to want to accept that, aside from his love for Nunnally, his feelings for the other people in his life are all quite ambiguous and open to interpretation. It's the crux of his character.

I know what you mean!! - I think Shirley's death is what put Lelouch on the path to where he would die. After her death, there was no more cheerful episodes, and carefree days at the school. Shirley and Lelouch just belong together - i know that if shirley is alive "Lelouch will somehow be more cheerful - she will make him smile/light him up" and Rolo destroy everything >.<

I hate Rolo after this sooo badly - he killed Shirley - ARGH that was soo sad - Lelouch tears make me cry - 2 touching scenes between Shirley and Lelouch - Season 1 - when he have to erase her memories and season 2 when she dies - Well at least now they can be together "After death" ~ Shirley and Lelouch forever - !!

I actually love "Shirley and Lelouch" together - because i feel that he can just live a normal/pieceful life with her - nothing to do with civil wars between Britannia and Japan - He can just see himself as a HS student [no sacrificing/no dying] - just smile and live happily like any other HS student - thats the atmosphere i feel between Lelouch and Shirley - when they are together. The scene when she dies and when Lelouch cries - was 'one of the most touching scene in CG.

Then why are you watching this AMV..... this AMV is for Shirley x Lelouch - I agree to what Rini10010 said - you shouldnt hate a character just because you like Lelouch to be with CC.... On my note i think Shirley loves Lelouch for who he really is... She just wants him to be happy *truthfully*....

@rini10010 I never said he loved Shirley and no one else. I simply stated that in my opinion it seemed likely he loved Shirley more for the reasons I stated. I really like the video either way and didn't post here to start an argument but because this video makes me feel so sad and conflicted sometimes that I felt the need to share my opinions with others. Either way I applaud your AMV.

@Jslangner And I really do believe that some fans have a weird tendency to deliberately misinterpret scenes and situations just to support their preferred pairings/characters. It's like "Lelouch risked his life for Shirley = he loved her" isn't enough, it's *also* gotta be "Lelouch risked his life for Shirley = he loved her and NO ONE ELSE." Other kinds of interaction? Nah, they're not worth analyzing, who needs subtlety.

@Jslangner Because her father just died, and she's distraught? Look, I actually do think that Lelouch loved Shirley, but any argument about whom he "truly" loved and why he couldn't possibly have had feelings for anyone else is ridiculous because NONE OF THESE SITUATIONS ARE THE SAME. CC's "kisses" weren't meant to be romantic, and Lelouch couldn't reciprocate Kallen's feelings because he was pushing her away for Zero's Requiem. Context.
