Zierle & Carter - Following the Whispers In-between (short edit), Morrab Library

Following the Whispers in-between is a documentation of a site-specific live performance at Morrab Library in Penzance. Through this work we explored the unbound space between knowledge and love using repetitive ritualised actions. The performance is structured into two chapters, each employing strong visual metaphors which pose the questions: What does the apple hold inside? Is the end of knowledge love? Is the end of love knowledge? What does it take to follow the whispers in-between?

Lips stamping, ink blackened blood, the rhythmic denial of words recorded in the spaces in-between, swallowed up by the cross of silence, not heard, unheard, evaporated before identified, ruthless truths muttered between teeth, eaten with delight, offered in a spit to the filing cabinet.
