To Sir Branson: Could I get a summer internship at Virgin Galactic, this summer or the next (or ever???)? It's pretty well impossible for a freshman engineer to get a summer internship anywhere... -_-;

I'm 18.

I'm an Aerospace Engineer(ing student).

I do martial arts quite a bit, am physically fit, agile, quick, flexible, and small (so I fit nicely into tight spaces).

I'm willing to do tedious difficult work, and toil with no reward besides pride in furthering the advancement of mankind.

I'm boundlessly patient.

I am ALWAYS completely honest, and never lie for any purpose, including ulterior motives or back-handed goals.

I believe strongly in the potential of mankind, but find myself disgusted by its current condition.

I'm determined and always willing to persevere for a noble, honest cause.

I'm not nearly as arrogant as I probably appear with my above self-description.

NB: I made this video on approximately 3/24 hours of sleep; so if I sound hazy, dizzy, or dreary, THAT is probably why.

  • Hmmm I have watched two of your videos this one and the one for Sxephil's win a wii contest and when I watched you ninja doodad I was reading your profile thingamawhatsit and you seem to be a very ahh whats the word.... for lack of a better term enlightened man just seems odd that I would find such a person quit randomly.....

  • Enlightenment is overrated. Those who desire it cannot find it, and those upon whom it thrusts itself often never wished for it in the first place. It may end one's base and infantile suffering, but it replaces that with a burden which goes beyond physical measure, so that the enlightened is ultimately no better off than the fool, except that he can more comprehensively appreciate this world in all its pain and splendor. The best that any one can do is fully utilize his God-given abilities.

  • Is that the sort of response you were looking for? ;D

  • you dont even tell white lies?

  • I'd say I don't, but that would sort of be lying ;D

    I try not to, but if it's for the sake of someone else, I'll make an exception.

  • it just sucks so hard that it was all a joke. really cruel joke.

  • I don't know that "joke" is the right word. I like to think that even if the whole thing /was/ sarcastic, it still demonstrates a genuine interest in the idea. If it wasn't believable, I don't think they'd poke at it, and it if it /is/ believable, people like Branson, Brin, and Page are just the kinds of people to shoot for it.
