the health department in Ny state, and I imagine other states, is just a cover for the dr.s and Hospitals. I was almost killed during a minor fertility procedure, and spent 3 months in ICU on life support. 28 surgeries, and many health problems to last a lifetime. I was told to file a complaint (haha) with the health Dept. dept. and was told it was a clear case of malpractice. Then it was rejected! They are not protecting you or I, just the medical and pharma community. Beware..!

Part of the problem is short staffing of nurses to save a buck. It really sucks. How thin can you spread one nurse before it becomes humanly impossible to provide safe care? Then you have budget cuts. Wether people recognize it or not, we are already in a very serious health care crises.
