@Slapbass13 Spot on. You are so right. People think you have to be constantly pitch perfect or be able to warble. It irritates me.

His voice is fine.
Modern culture dictates that we have to have perfectly formed vocal chords in order to sing well and perform songs. The X factor and like propagate this.
Brilliant songwriters like Jarvis are relegated these days because the quality of their voice is judged over anything else.
