1 day it will all be worthless money/silver/gold

Numismatics all the way! Especially Canadian Maples highest currency value at $5 real currency. Good luck trading at trading 1000/oz bars to stores for food. They don't own smelters and that hunk of metal will be hard for them to barter or sell off so that will stop them from accepting it. This of course is in a survival situation.

Bullion only for me. Not buying numismatic coins.

I've been weighing up whether to get into Silver Snowball or Numis Network, and have been looking at both sides of the coin (pun intended). I figure that it comes down to people's own reasons why they want silver (either to get into collecting precious coins, or to hedge against hyperinflation).
Frankly I don't know anything about the art of coin collecting, & if things go to hell then the spot price is what will matter there and then.

Yeah, there were a lot of bronze ones given out, but you had to open a new account to get the silver ones. There were a lot fewer. I don't know much about it, but I HAVE found it in coin catalogs before. I believe it has a pretty high collector's value if you can find the right buyer, as there probably aren't many still around.

Oh and I can't take credit for the hobby idea, that was in Mike Maloneys book.
No idea if those 925 collectables would be a good buy, depends how much they want for them and how many were minted etc, Just stick with the hobby idea - If you like them, buy them, then you won't mind if you can't find someone to sell to for more than you paid.

Yea the variety is part of what got me as well, Cause just continually buying the same old bullion coins had stopped being exciting or even interesting - It was just like going through the motions.
I'm still going to get bullion but with the occasional numismatic thrown in I think just to keep silver interesting until the price goes berserk - then I think I'll have no problem being interested or excited about it.
I believe premiums carry a bit of a risk. By that I mean you may or may not get them back if you choose to sell. It depends on the scenario, and right now we're not sure what's going to happen in the next months/years. That said, I agree, if you enjoy something and you can afford it, go ahead!
Thanks for your comment on my numismatic video.

You know that New Zealand coin you showed in your vid, that token for opening the bank account, You sure thats silver? I had a look on trademe ( New Zealands version of Ebay ) And I found a couple for sale but both were made of bronze, one of which was for sale for just $5 NZD, maybe they made some in silver as well? I don't know, couldn't find any silver ones anyway.

Yes, I am not sure why they get fancy with silver/gold coins. Especially when they paint them.

I was meaning more like why put 99% gold (thats what 24k is) on an only 92.5% silver coin, on a 99% silver coin makes more sense.
Or putting maybe 18k gold on sterling silver also seems more logically.
Putting pure gold on unpure silver kinda seems like polishing an old pair of shoes to me, if you know what I mean?
