Well I agree with you. However String didn't realize Marlo was a sociopath. Marlo would have wound up killing String instead of Prop Joe. Avon knew he had to kill Marlo because he was a hungry cat for the crown. Avon's fault is that he didn't plan it right. He could have layed in the cut and set Marlo up. Avon is the only one who could see Marlo for what he was. Not String or Joe would have planned to kill Marlo...just bring him in the co-op thinking he'd act right. Nope!!!

@hellafide I hear you. Marlo ain't forgiving or forgetting. One thing that struct me about Marlo the character they way he was portrayed. Like shooting that girl in tit..then the look in his eyes when Prop Joe breathed his last breath. I guess just the way he was portrayed it seemed like it was more than just business..a little pleasure is how I saw it.

@strontvinger2001 haha exactly and when they do get close to getting caught towards the end of season 1 their washington or diplomatic ties usually save their ass from prosecution. marlos come and go, prop joes come and go, avon and stringer bells come and go... but the suppliers are always the same unless the feds make an arrest for show. but then again they only get the lower level sergie's or ppl like that. never "the greek" or his underboss

It kills me how people knock Stringer so hard for trying to do business. The Barksdale organization almost lost everything they built in season 2, because they were putting out bad dope. Stringer spends the majority of season 3 trying to prevent that from happening again, and folks get hung up on "Kill Marlo!".

Even if they killed Marlo, they were fucked without Prop Joe's package.
