  • Lincoln wasn't going the kick slave owners for no legal reason - a person couldn't have been born a slave after the passage of the 5th Amd rights to Life, Liberty and Property for all persons, reguardless of what the Supreme Court said a truth is a thruth . The 5th Amendment was an Amendment to the US Constitution ... the fugitive slave act of 1793 was not, it violated the 5th Amd for those born after 1791

  • @reuthful white supremancy was the founding principle of the Confederacy. That comes from the words of the Confederate leaders. It is very possible that if the Condederacy had won slavery would have never ended.

  • For the record, I would be honored to be living today in the Confederate States of America, where slavery would have been long-since abolished by force of conscience rather than force of arms. What we have here, instead is slavery largely transferred from blacks to whites---called the FEDERAL INCOME TAX.

  • @vtrsucks hey vtrsucks, go up to the biggest blackest guy you see & tell that to his face. then see how far that gets you smart guy

  • @reuthful well, you know what they say, 'you have to break a few eggs to make an omlette'. i like the outcome of the civil war. because of that war, with the north winning, we are now a great, great nation. or would you prefer to live in a weaker csa?

  • A person who uses four letter obscenities demonstrates not only emotion but also the extent of his vocabulary.

  • Anybody ever wonder how the word "secession" got morphed into "rebellion"?. After all, for example Ordinances of Secession were intrinsically legal, unless and until ruled on by SCOTUS. Since the North won the subsequent WAR, it could call "secession", "rebellion", and make it look as if it were supressing an illegal, treasonous act. This made its resupply of Fort Sumter, a 'casus belli', look very unlike the act of Lincolnian Northern Aggression that it was.

  • @AltaRepublic I have resources, but not videos.

  • black slaves were competing against white IRISH labour/slaves

  • Go read the Southern Ultimatums. What the SOuthern leaders demanded, under threat of war. Southern newspapers such as the RIchmond Enquirer March 21, 1861, or any other Southern newspaper of that time. The Southern ULtimatums also appeared in New York papers.

All five of the SOuthern Ultimatums were about ONE thing -- the SPREAD of slavery, against the will of the people and states.

    Go read the Southern Ultimatums.

  • @NavyBeer hey guys; leave navybeer alone. he's obviously feeling attacked and trying to use his "big boy words" he learned during that sleep over at coach's house. haha. you use a lot of big words there, Miss Beer (i'm assuming you're single); it makes you sound really intelligent...especially when you CAPITALIZE words every SO OFTEN. have a nice day, ma'am :B
