Thorpe was fearless,all of you guys out there who ride club level,some of you probably never rode a 2 stroke ,have a go on a cr 500 if its in good tune,open the throttle wide in 3rd gear 1st berm you come to,just make sure your wearing brown boxer pants

I went to Namur 1989...I was 13 with my Union Jack T-shirt and flag in hand (riding a KX100) and screamed Dave on to whip Eric Geboers' arse on his own turf!! Nice one Dave you made us proud ;o))) I shouted at you on the rostrum and you gave me the thumbs up.
